Itinerary

Day 01: Saturday: Cairo, Optional tour – Dinner Cruise

Arrive Cairo. Meet and greet at the airport and you will be transferred to Hotel President or similar. Overnight at Hotel President or similar.

Day 02: Sunday: Cairo

Tour of the Pyramids, Sphinx, Cairo Bazaar& Egyptian Museum Optional – Sound & Light show at the Great Pyramids of Giza! After breakfast, depart on your tour of the Pyramids and the Sphinx, where you will see the only survivors among the 7 wonders of the ancient world. We then visit the perfume factory and tour The Citadel, which houses a number of important monuments including the famous Mohammed Ali Mosque. Later we take you to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a famous Cairo Bazaar dating back to the 14th Century. Later, visit the Egyptian Museum, which contains the world’s richest collection of Pharoanic antiquities including the world famous treasure of Tutankhamen. Evening, return to Hotel President or similar.
Optional – Sound & Light Show at the Great Pyramids of Giza!

Day 03: Monday: Nile Cruise – Luxor

After breakfast, checkout of the Hotel and transfer to Cairo Airport (Domestic Terminal) for your flight to Luxor. Arrive Luxor, where you will be met by our local representative and transferred to the Nile Cruise boarding center to check-into ‘Presidential Nile Cruise’ by noon. Lunch onboard. After lunch, visit Karnak and Luxor temples. Afternoon tea. dinner & evening entertainment onboard. This evening the ship will be docked in Luxor. Overnight onboard ‘Presidential Nile’.

Day 04: Tuesday: Nile Cruise - Edfu

After breakfast, Cross the West Bank to visit Thebes Necropolis, Valley of Kings, Queens, El Deir El Bahari of Hatshepsut , and Colosses of Memnon facing the Nile. Lunch on board. Sail to Edfu. Afternoon tea. Dinner and overnight onboard ‘Presidential Nile’.

Day 05: Wednesday: Nile Cruise - Aswan

After breakfast, we sail to Edfu where we visit the Temple of Horus. Later, while we sail onwards to Kom Ombo, lunch onboard. At Kom Ombo, visit the temple shared by two Gods Sobek and Haroeris. Afternoon tea. Sail to Aswan. Dinner and overnight onboard ‘Presidential Nile’.

Day 06: Thursday: Nile Cruise - Aswan

After breakfast, today we visit the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. Lunch onboard. Afternoon tea. Dinner and overnight onboard ‘Presidential Nile’.

Day 07: Friday: Disembarkation – Cairo / Optional excursion - Abu Simble

Early breakfast, disembarkation, morning visit to Botanical Garden by Felucca on Nile river. Transfer to Aswan Airport for departure to Cairo or you may take an optional day excursion to ‘Abu Simble’. Arrive Cairo and transfer to Hotel.

Day 08: Saturday: Return

Breakfast at the hotel. Day free until transfer to Cairo Airport for your return flight home. It’s time to say good bye to all new friends you have made and take back warm memories of your trip with Active Holidays.
